Hello readers,

Among the companies that raised the most this week, it’s Byju’s that caught my attention.

The India-based edtech major has just secured US$200 million in funding from investors, following a US$500 million injection in September. It’s incredible that the startup – now valued at approximately US$12 billion – exceeded a valuation of US$1 billion just over two years ago.

Byju’s is just one of the 10 edtech startups in Asia that bagged funding this week – most are from India and China, while onee Singapore. I can’t help but wonder if we’ll be writing about any of these startups becoming decacorns in a couple of years.

You can find all other important investment deals that happened in the last few days in our weekly funding news wrap-up.

Let’s dive into the biggest deals and M&As that recently took place.
