What happened at Singapore’s Battlefield 4 Launch? (PICS)

Tuesday, 12pm. Level 5 of the normally quiet Bugis+ mall explodes into life with pop music. The patiently waiting queue outside of the Colosseum LAN shop starts to snake inside. The sound of gunfire fills the air. Local eSports team [Bf.Nut] have officially kicked off their first event: the launch of Battlefield 4 in Singapore.

Under the watchful eye of seasoned eSports players, an approximate 150 Battlefield 4 players walked away happy today. As additional reward for their hard work in the field, they took away specially printed Battlefield themed packets of tissues and posters.

LAN shop Colosseum has often served as a venue for game launches, and played host to the CounterStrike: Global Offensive launch last year. However this is the first time 60 seater LAN shop has closed its doors for an entire day to cater to a game launch.

Continuing this streak of firsts is Ingram Micro, who as of August this year, have officially taken over distribution of EA products in the region. This Tuesday marks their first public launch and media event. When asked why they decided to do it with [Bf.Nut], Andy Tay from Ingram Micro’s Gaming Division said simply, “Their passion drove me to work with them.”
