AgFunder-backed agritech accelerator opens applications for 3rd cohort

The 20-week program, which is backed by AgFunder’s Grow Impact Fund, will provide teams with personal and commercial support for scaling up rapidly. This includes US$100,000 in cash and US$100,000 in kind, given on founder-friendly terms.
If travel restrictions ease, the program will be conducted both in person and virtually from Grow’s headquarters in Singapore. Applications will close on January 3, 2022, according to a statement.
Grow said that applicants should at least have a minimum viable product, operate in at least one market, and be “well on the way to establishing product-market fit.”
Particular areas of interest for the 2022 program include: biotech, circular economies, climate-smart agriculture and aquaculture, alternative proteins, supply chain rationalization, and technology to support smallholder farmers.

The accelerator is supported by impact partners UNDP Global Center, Grow Asia, and Asian Venture Philanthropy Network, and official media partner AFN. Nineteen companies have graduated from the program since its first cohort in 2019, cumulatively raising over US$30 million of funding.
