China’s Yonghua Capital leads $5m round of Singapore POS firm

Singapore-based iMin Technology, a point-of-sale solutions firm, has secured US$5 million in fresh funding from China-based private equity investor Yonghua Capital as it gears toward global expansion.

The demand for digital commercial devices such as POS terminals, industrial scanners, and self-service kiosks continues to surge, iMin said. According to research from Future Market Insights, the global POS terminal market is expected to grow about 3x to US$180.4 billion by 2032 compared to 2021.

Founded in 2018, iMin has branch offices in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Netherlands. Earlier this year, it launched Swan 1 Pro, an Android-powered POS tool that the company said can outperform traditional Windows-based devices.

It has also rolled out the iMinKit Mobile Device Management platform, which serves a range of business partners in the food delivery, fintech, and SaaS sectors.
