It claims to have facilitated the fundraising of roughly US$12.4 million for its participating companies since its launch.
Among the first cohort of 10 participating companies is Mighty Jaxx, a Singapore-based urban culture lifestyle startup. Mighty Jaxx is set to showcase how the GovTech OpenCert platform enables the company to issue permanent and tamper-resistant certificates to each of its collectibles.
Another participating company is Halal supply chain solution provider WhatsHalal, which will unveil a new feature of its app. The feature allows consumers to use their phones to scan the validity of Halal-certified products for cross-referencing.
Singapore-based online car marketplace SgCarMart will also introduce blockchain technology to its online car auction platform Quotz, which will digitize the service history of vehicles.
The seven other participating startups include:
- Tada, a blockchain-driven ride-hailing company
- Limestone Network, a startup that is powering a 100-hectare smart city development project in Phomn Penh
- Digix, a service that digitizes traditional assets through blockchain technology
- Chorus Mobility, a startup that offers blockchain solutions for connected vehicles
- Temco, a startup that offers blockchain-powered supply chain management services
- Halo, an alternative cloud storage platform provider that gives users full data ownership
- Accrue, a financial analytics company that develops tools for global event analytics and code-free algorithm development
Tribe will also hold demo days in Shanghai, Seoul, and San Francisco.
Additionally, the accelerator will be launching Tribe Code, a blockchain programming academy, in partnership with two programming schools in Singapore and Vietnam.
