In brief: Thousands of Cloudtail products available again on Amazon India

Cloudtail, one of Amazon India’s biggest sellers, has returned after the online retail giant changed its business structures to comply with the country’s modified foreign direct investment policy for ecommerce, sources said.

More than 300,000 Cloudtail products went online again after the US ecommerce firm cut its indirect holding in the online retailer to 24 percent. The ecommerce giant is working on a similar restructuring for Appario, which is also a big seller on its India platform.

Amazon was forced to remove hundreds of thousands of items sold by the two vendors as it indirectly held 49 percent equity stakes in both firms.
