Founded in 2017 by Alvin Ea and Sebastian Shen, Haulio makes moving containers on land more efficient. Its platform minimizes empty miles for the 1.8 million twenty-foot equivalent units of cargo the firm transacts and moves annually.
Its current network is made up of 800 trucking and haulage companies and a fleet of 10,000 first-mile vehicles. The firm’s merger with Logol has also upped its number of shipping units by 2,000.
Besides Indonesia and Singapore, Haulio is also present in Thailand.
Meanwhile, Jakarta-headquartered Logol was founded by Michael Kartono and Ronald Susanto in 2018. Its product streamlines data entry for logistics players, enabling shippers and haulers to connect to others within the supply chain.
Haulio also signed a memorandum of understanding with the National University of Singapore’s Centre of Excellence in Modelling and Simulation for Next Generation Ports. The deal allows the two entities to develop the Smart Haulage Scheduler, which will increase productivity in Singapore’s logistics sector.
Moving forward, Haulio is planning to launch its integrated e-billing payment platform called Payment Portal.
