Team DK confiscates phones to keep players focused on TI4

Just how serious is China’s Team DK about being the king of the Dota 2 heap when it comes to this year’s The International? Serious enough that they’ve cut themselves off from friends and family. On the team’s official Weibo account, it retweeted the following message from team coach 71:

I have confiscated all of Team DK players’ phones. Family and friends please understand and don’t keep calling them; nobody is going to answer this month.

Above its retweet, Team DK’s official account added: “Closed training has begun!”

In another tweet, Team DK elaborated that these measures were necessary because TI4 is important, and because “getting a result in the tournament is most important.”
