Hi TIA community!  Love the idea of TIA taking a jump to use a platform like this.

I started off as a developer, working for my first startup while still in high school.  I built two startups in San Fran, one failure, one minor success, before backpacking asia for 1 year with my wife Kristine.  Landed in Singapore in 2011 and had the fortune of meeting many amazing people, including Jeff Paine.

I’m happy to answer ANY questions, some topic ideas:

  • Raising money
  • Creative marketing techniques
  • Building communities
  • Startup ecosystems
  • Silicon Valley
  • Southeast Asia
  • Backpacking or Traveling
  • Telling your parents you’re leaving a comfy corporate job to do a startup

Stay ahead in Asia’s tech landscape

I'm a Founding Partner at Golden Gate Ventures, an early stage seed fund for startups in Southeast Asia with strong ties to Silicon Valley. With two startups behind me, I'm an active advisor and mentor. I spent 2011 traveling around Asia, meeting with startups, investors, and budding entrepreneurs. I hosted events to help foster the startup ecosystem, such as SuperHappyDevHouse.sg and FailCon.sg with over 200 attendees from 7 different countries.
