women in tech

Women hold less than a third of leadership positions in the tech world, according to a 2021 study by Boston Consulting Group and Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority. While Southeast Asia has a marginally higher percentage of female leaders, there’s still much work to be done to ensure true equity and provide the right opportunities for women in tech to advance their careers.

Tech in Asia believes in promoting a gender-equal tech world. In line with this mission, we’ve collated on this page all of our coverage on phenomenal women-led businesses and female leaders, stories about gender discrimination and fairness, and our yearly International Women’s Day campaign.
