eFishery is a smart fish feeder manufacturer based in Bandung. The company offers an automatic smart feeder that uses sensors to measure the fish’s appetite and then dispense food appropriately. Designed for both small and large scale operations, the system can also deliver real-time reports of consumption straight to the farmer’s smartphone.
2. Blindfold | Singapore (Techlist Profile)
Designed for those who would like to keep their private lives private yet still engage in the world of online dating, Blindfold keeps its users anonymous until both sides of a match agree to unmask. The only information available is a username, some basic non-identifying info, and a blurred photo (or one with Blindfold’s mask on top).
3. HappyFresh | Indonesia (Techlist Profile)
Grocery delivery app HappyFresh allows users to order fresh groceries and dry goods from their favourite supermarkets via the app and website, and have the products delivered to their doorstep. The company also launched HappyRecipe, which lets users read blog posts to get inspired about cooking, but it also serves up various ready-made recipes from which they can order the specific ingredients and prepare dishes at home.
4. Rounds | Israel
Tel Aviv-based Rounds is a social communication and entertainment app. Unlike other messaging apps like WhatsApp, or Line, there’s no need to enter your mobile phone number and then verify details through a text message. Users are prompted to login through Facebook, after which you’ll be able to see all your friends currently using the app. They’re automatically added to your list. You can then initiate a video call, send an audio or text message, or engage in a multiplayer game.
5. Gaption | Malaysia
Gaption wants to deliver what behemoths like Facebook and Twitter have not done, which is to share profits with those who post on the platform. The company has a proprietary technology that allows it to track which user content or activities are responsible for an advertisement click or in other words, which activities kept other users on the platform long enough to discover and click on an ad.
6. Yappli | Japan (Techlist Profile)
Yappli allows users to build a native app out of a website without writing a single line of code. It also can be used to make iOS and Android apps and is designed primarily for those who lack programming skills and helps them build an app through drag-and-drop functions. An array of templates, designs, and functions are supported.
