Here are some noteworthy startups in Southeast Asia
Dear readers,
Every week, we’re keeping an eye on what the biggest tech companies in Southeast Asia are up to. But we’re certainly not ignoring the startups. In fact, we’re often the first to tell you about interesting new companies, as well as major developments happening at the ones you already know.
Our top article last week spotlights the intensifying video-streaming wars, and one startup’s attempt to carve a niche for itself. What I personally like about the piece are the details about the cost of acquiring shows, which gives you a sense of the startup’s unit economics.
We were also the first to report on BasisAI, a startup founded by high-flying data scientists that raised money from Temasek and Sequoia – at the seed stage. I can’t wait to see what they’ll do next.
