Sirclo appoints East Ventures advisor, ex-Unilever Indonesia CEO as commissioners

Sirclo, an Indonesia-based ecommerce enabler, has announced the appointment of Triawan Munaf and Maurits Lalisang as its new commissioners.

Experience:

• Munaf was the head of the Indonesian Creative Economy Agency, a ministry-level government agency, from 2015 to 2019. In February last year, he joined East Ventures – one of Sirclo’s investors – as a venture advisor.
• Meanwhile, Lalisang is a partner at investment firm Saratoga Investama Sedaya, which has also invested in Sirclo. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Unilever Indonesia.

• According to Sirclo founder Brian Marshal, the expertise of the two new commissioners in businesses of all sizes can help the company develop tech solutions for ecommerce businesses.
• Last month, the ecommerce enabler raised US$36 million in a round led by East Ventures and Saratoga, with participation from Traveloka and Sinar Mas Land.
• In April, Sirclo acquired Orami, an online parenting platform.
