East Ventures-backed social commerce startup KitaBeli bags $10m in round led by Go-Ventures

Indonesian social commerce platform KitaBeli said it has raised US$10 million in its latest funding round.

  • KitaBeli plans to use the new funds to expand operations deeper into the Indonesian island of Java and develop its logistics network, said its CEO and co-founder Prateek Chaturvedi.
  • The startup, which mainly provides high-frequency items such as fast-moving consumer goods and fresh produce, plans to expand into beauty, fashion, and electronics segments, added Ivana Tjandra, co-founder and chief operating officer at KitaBeli.
  • The startup claims it has seen a growth of over 80% month on month, with a per install rate of US$0.10. It also said its users spend an average of US$70 per month on the platform, and its delivery partners fulfil over 100 orders per day.
  • Last year, the company raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding led by East Ventures.
