Late last year, enterprise application vendor SAP (NYSE:SAP; ETR:SAP) pledged $2 billion for the China market. The giant enterprise continues to be very active and has sent along a fairly long press release about its achievements in China so far. Here’s the breakdown to make the news a little more digestible:

  • First off, revenue! SAP has had the best quarter so far with more than 30 percent growth in its software license revenue.
  • The company has also launched a Startup Focus program in China which aims to help Chinese startups grow through adopting new apps on SAP HANA (analytics and data related products).
  • SAP has also partnered with Huawei to “deepen technical integration and support, build an interoperability competency center and carry out joint sales and marketing activities worldwide.”
  • It has also partnered with China Telecom “to promote platforms for mobile development and mobile device management, and extend SAP and China Telecom’s partnership on cloud-based enterprise-class products and services.”
  • SAP has over 3,500 employees in China with offices in Beijing, Wuhan, and Shenzhen. It also has a lab in Shanghai with over 2,000 engineers.
  • It has over 4,000 customers in China so far using its business apps, database, cloud, and analytics service.

Things are looking smooth for SAP in China so far.
