Taiwanese enterprise firm eyes Japan, SEA for expansion

Taiwan-based Profet AI, a machine learning-powered enterprise solutions firm for the manufacturing sector, has unveiled its plans to expand its services to Japan and Southeast Asia.
The company also celebrated the launch of Profet AI Suzhou – its joint venture with industrial firm Aedgetech – in China. The company said that Profet AI Suzhou marks its seventh global location.
Profet AI uses machine learning to boost operational efficiency by allowing clients to create customized apps and AI-powered programs. It mainly offers its services to electronics, semiconductor, and chemical manufacturers.
With a goal to acquire more than 100 new customers this year, Profet AI is gunning to expand its customer base in these three markets.
The company in November participated in Aichi Landing Pad, a program run by 500 Global and the Aichi Prefectural Government to help startups develop and build an ecosystem within the Aichi County of Japan. It also joined the AI-focused startup program run by SoftBank subsidiary Station AI.

In Southeast Asia, Profet AI looks to center its focus on Vietnam, which saw a 9% growth in its industrial sector in 2022 due to the country’s growing manufacturing and processing industries, among other factors.
Profet AI last raised funding in January this year, securing US$5.6 million in a series A round led by Darwin Ventures. Without revealing specific numbers, the company said that for Q1 this year, its revenues jumped about 60% compared to the same quarter a year ago.
