Marcus Yeung, founder and CEO of Singapore-based boutique investment bank SEAbridge Partners, has teamed up with serial entrepreneur Patrick Linden to launch Match.asia, an M&A marketplace and company matching platform.
The marketplace aims to tackle common challenges in traditional M&A processes – such as inefficiency, limited outreach, low success rates, and high costs – through a data-driven matching system. In a statement, Match.asia said that it will do so by leveraging its sister company SEAbridge Partners’ “1,000+ global buyer network and expertise.”
Buyers and sellers can list on the platform for free, with sellers paying a success fee only when the transaction is completed. Listings are also anonymous, which helps sellers maintain confidentiality.
“Our goal is to make the process more successful, accessible, and cost-effective for all parties involved,” said Yeung in a statement.
A longtime M&A and investment banker, Yeung founded SEAbridge Partners in 2007. The company provides advisory services for fundraising in addition to M&A.
Meanwhile, Linden co-founded startups like Dealguru, which was acquired by Patrick Grove’s iBuy in 2013, and Food Runner, which Rocket Internet bought and merged with Foodpanda in 2015. At SEAbridge, Linden serves as a venture partner.
