Since launching in September 2021, Ripple said its NFT-focused fund has attracted nearly 4,000 applications. These include those from independent creators like artists, musicians, game designers, and builders.
Ripple said its fund is currently the only creator-centered fund connecting artists with marketplaces and creative agencies such as its partners Mintable, MintNFT, and VSA Partners. Moving forward, the Creator Fund will continue to support creators on a per batch basis with themes for each “wave” of applications.
Notable creators that have received support from the fund include author, producer, and entrepreneur Justin Bua; filmmaker Steven Sebring; and xPunks (a set of 10,000 unique NFTs).
Additionally, NFT marketplaces NFT Pro, Ethernal Labs, and OnXRP have teamed up with Ripple to integrate XRP Ledger – a public blockchain – into their platforms.
