If you’re reading this site, I’m just going to assume that you’re interested in cool new PC games. To that end, here’s some exciting gossip: according to 17173, Tencent is planning to reveal two brand-new PC games at a new product announcement next month.
Not much is known about the games, but the action game will apparently be 3D and is currently codenamed Kgame (it even has this parked domain set up for an official site, pictured above with its current message: “please wait”). An anonymous Tencent source told the Chinese site that it will be a “dazzling action experience” and that it will combine team cooperation and mechanical skills. Even more interestingly, the game will apparently feature characters, or possibly real-life celebrities, from other universes.
If I had to guess based on that description and the current trends in Chinese gaming, I’d say the company might be planning to launch a 3D action/MOBA hybrid that will feature characters from various Chinese classics like Journey to the West and Water Margin. But that’s pure speculation at this point.
The shooter is more mysterious, though, with virtually no information about it having leaked from Tencent yet. I guess we’ll just have to wait until April.
