Web3 has a diversity problem. Only 13% of the industry’s startups have a woman co-founder while only about 27% of the employees at top Web3 firms are women, according to a study by Boston Consulting Group.
Hug, which calls itself a “social curation and education platform for current and aspiring creators in Web3,” is attempting to address this lack of diversity. Co-founder Debbie Soon spoke in the So This Is My Why podcast about how she’s aiming to level the playing field for Web3 creators of all genders.
