Shuttle, a Bangladesh-based transportation startup, has raised US$1.5 million in a new funding round led by South Asia Tech, with participation from government-backed Startup Bangladesh Limited as well as Bangladesh Angels Network and Accelerating Asia.

The deal pushed the firm’s total funding raised to date to US$2.5 million.

Founded in 2018, Shuttle can transport up to 11 people going to a similar destination in a single vehicle. It also has B2B offerings that allow companies to provide daily commutes for their employees.

It currently has 30,000 registered users and more than 50 corporate clients.

Shuttle was established by Reyasat Chowdhury, Jawwad Jahangir, and Shah Sufian. Last year, it raised US$750,000 in a seed funding round led by Accelerating Asia.

The firm plans to use the fresh funding for product development and hiring purposes.
