India’s Competition Commission (CCI) has begun an investigation into Google concerning its policies on real-money gaming apps.

The inquiry follows a complaint from WinZO, which claims Google’s app acceptance practices are biased.

WinZO’s complaint arises from Google’s recent policy modification, which allows specific real-money games, such as fantasy sports and rummy, on the Play Store.

However, WinZO states its games, such as carrom and puzzles, remain excluded.

The platform argues that this creates an unequal market, favoring certain app categories.
