Google appoints ex-Apple exec as India managing director
Google has appointed Mitul Shah, a former executive at Apple India, as managing director for its devices and services business in India.
Shah, who previously managed consumer sales at Apple India for over nine years, will focus on increasing the presence of Google’s Pixel smartphones in this market.
This move is part of Google’s broader strategy to bolster its position in the premium smartphone segment of India, which ranks as the second largest globally.
Currently, Google’s Pixel occupies a minimal share of 0.04% in the Indian market, as reported by Counterpoint Research.
