Huawei asks US court to dismiss tech theft, fraud charges
Huawei Technologies is asking a United States court to dismiss significant parts of a federal indictment.
The indictment accuses the firm of trying to steal technology secrets and deceiving banks regarding its operations in Iran.
On Friday, Huawei denied the conspiracy charges, arguing some involve activities outside the US.
It also disputed the bank fraud charges, citing a theory previously rejected by the US Supreme Court.
Huawei has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled for trial on January 5, 2026.
