Chinese tech giant Huawei saw a 9% revenue rise to over 700 billion yuan (US$98.7 billion) in 2023, driven by a resurgence in its smartphone business and 5G equipment sales.

This follows the launch of a smartphone with a 7-nanometer Kirin processor made in China, hailed as a success there as it came amid US restrictions on China’s tech industry.
