ByteDance, the owner of TikTok, has allocated over 150 billion yuan (US$20.64 billion) for capital expenditure in 2025.
Around half of this amount is designated for international AI-related infrastructure, according to sources familiar with the details.
The funds will target data centers, networking equipment, and other AI infrastructure.
This is expected to benefit chip suppliers, including Huawei Technologies, Cambricon Technologies, and Nvidia.
However, ByteDance has disputed the accuracy of reports related to its spending plan, stating that the information is incorrect but declining to provide further details.
