ByteDance considers no-sale option for TikTok in US
ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, is exploring options to keep the app operational in the United States without selling its local business.
Bill Ford, a board member of ByteDance and CEO of General Atlantic, mentioned that one possible solution would involve changing the control of TikTok’s US operations to comply with US regulations.
“There are a number of alternatives that could allow the company to continue operating short of selling,” he said.
Ford noted that discussions between US and Chinese officials, including President Trump and China’s President Xi Jinping, may impact the situation.
He expressed optimism regarding the ongoing dialogue between both nations.
