In brief: Indonesian fintech startup AwanTunai nets $4.3m funding
Indonesian fintech platform AwanTunai raised a US$4.3 million series A round, led by Insignia Venture Partners and AMTD group. Global Brains, Fenox Venture Capital, and other investors also participated. Currently in the PayPal Singapore incubator program, the startup provides “micro merchants” with loans for working capital. It also offers mobile-based credit to 100 million Indonesians unable to access banking products.
