Musk mulls Indonesia visit for investments after talks with Widodo

Elon Musk could soon be headed to Indonesia to check out possible investments after president Joko Widodo extended an invitation to the Tesla CEO, reported Bloomberg.

Widodo reportedly invited Musk when they met on a Space X site in Texas. The president’s camp said that the Tesla and Space X boss is “hopefully” eyeing November for the trip.

The meeting happened on the sidelines of the US-ASEAN special summit. Widodo is looking at maximizing the country’s nickel reserves to spur an electric vehicle industry locally, reported Reuters.

Indonesia has also been trying to get a Tesla plant and Space X launch site in the country, added Bloomberg.
