Ordinary Folk, a Singapore-based startup specializing in holistic healthtech, has raised US$5 million in a pre-series A round funded by Monk’s Hill Ventures.

The company connects patients to doctors and professionals through two platforms focused on health and wellness: Noah for men, and Zoey for women. Both platforms aim to address concerns about sexual health, mental wellness, haircare, fertility, weight management, and personal well-being.

Customers can also get digital records and prescriptions, with medication delivery already integrated into its services. Ordinary Folk said that since launching its services in 2020, its revenue has grown by over 130% and its platforms have seen over a million unique visitors.

The startup’s latest raise will fund talent acquisition for engineers in Vietnam and further build up its growth, design, and marketing teams, which include former employees from major companies like super app Grab and advertising firm Ogilvy.

Ordinary Folk will also use the new capital to scale in Singapore and to enter new markets such as Hong Kong. The company plans to continue expanding its B2B partnerships to provide its services to partner firms.

Sean Low established the company around two years ago as Covid-19 began spreading across the world. Ordinary Folk raised an undisclosed amount of funding in 2020, Low previously told Tech in Asia.
