Indian personal finance app raises $300k from Inflection Point Ventures, others

MoneyPlanned, an India-based personal finance app, has raised 25 million rupees (around US$300,000) in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures, with participation from Expert Dojo, Dot Capital partner Joseph Saviano, and DBS Bank executive Sameer Khan.

Founded in July 2020, MoneyPlanned allows users to set financial goals and track their journey via a mobile app. It also provides a marketplace for financial products, such as mutual funds.

According to the company, it currently has around 35,000 monthly active users, with 10,000 of them using the app every week. The platform helps these users track financial goals worth US$816 million.

MoneyPlanned was established by two certified investment planners Sameer Shashank Gattupalli and Nikhila Putcha. It plans to use the fresh funding for marketing, user acquisition, product development, and hiring purposes.
