Ten startup founders from India are taking off for the UK tonight for a week-long program of networking and mentoring. They are the latest batch of chosen ones under a Tech Rocketships program initiated by UK-based TechHub, with support from UK Trade & Investment. Here’s a look at the ten that found seats on the rocketship:

Cashkumar

Bangalore-based Cashkumar is a peer-to-peer loans site for individuals and businesses. It began as a portal for forex vendors in 2014 and was incubated in Kyron accelerator. Then it pivoted.

Cashkumar now uses non-traditional data points to assess eligibility for loans. This enables loans to flow to those who would be denied in the usual banking system. The bootstrapped startup is poised for rapid growth this year as demonetization in India brings more people online for financial transactions.

Tech in Asia featured BendFlex in 2015 among cool, young startups waiting to be funded. That was the year BendFlex was born in a lab of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore. Its founders are two PhD’s from IISc, Raghunath Babu and Ramnath Babu.

BendFlex produces equipment for in-vitro fertilization, such as micro-grippers for biological cells and bioreactors for cell culture. Other patent-pending micro-devices are also on the anvil.

Outsell

Bangalore-based Outsell, as its name suggests, promises to help exceed sales targets. It provides sales coaching to enterprises to help their sales teams get up to speed on product knowledge. The SaaS (software-as-a-service) startup gives sales reps bite-sized content on their mobile devices.
