The investment vehicle will back early- and growth-stage companies in the digital health, fintech, cybersecurity, and enterprise software-as-a-service spaces. Anvesh Ramineni, managing director at MMV, said the VC continues to see “tremendous opportunity” in these sectors.

MMV also stated that it had more than doubled its overall investment capital over the past two years. The firm has backed over 60 startups in North America, Asia, and Australia since it was set up in 2014. Its Asia-Pacific team was established in 2018.

Some of the VC’s more notable investments include those in Aspire, an SME-focused neobank, and Biofourmis, a healthtech firm that just turned unicorn after a US$300 million series D round.
