In brief: Malaysian e-wallet TNG Digital enables QR payment for cab fares
Malaysia-based e-wallet startup TNG Digital announced a strategic partnership with local taxi firms EzCab and Public Cab, enabling their taxi drivers to accept cashless payments. Passengers can just scan the driver’s designated QR code for fare payment using the Touch ‘n Go e-wallet app.
Close to 4,000 EzCab and independent taxi drivers are now equipped with the QR payment method. TNG Digital is targeting to QR-enable 10,000 taxis by year end.
