The feature, called Crypto top-up, currently accepts Bitcoin, Ethereum, USD Coin, and Tether, with plans to expand its options soon. It will be a “transparent conversion process” that does not entail hidden fees for the user, the company said in a statement.
Founded in 2017, BigPay provides payments, international transfers, credit, microinsurance, personal loans, and smart budgeting services to users in Southeast Asia.
Recently, the fintech firm added three new services to its major payment institution license issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore for account issuance service, domestic money transfer, and e-money issuance services in the city-state.

BigPay saw its user base grow to over 1.2 million in Q3, representing a 48% and 4% increase on a year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter basis, respectively. The company said the improvement was on the back of new product launches, including that of its budgeting and saving tool Stashes.
