January's PlayStation Plus releases are an awesome start to a happy new year!

A happy new year from Sony!

According to sources at Neogaf January’s PlayStation Plus bundle for US accounts is going to be crap-your-pants fantastic. We are still waiting on confirmation about Asian and European releases.

Thankfully, the region locking is pretty superficial. Asia-based gamers should be able to get in on this deal simply by setting up a new PSN account and selecting the US as their location (if you don’t already have a “US” account already as many Asian gamers do).

I can only assume that Sony has been reading some of Games in Asia’s recent articles as a couple of our favorites have snuck onto the list this month! Those guys at Sony have damn good taste!

PlayStation 3 owners are getting a big bucket of awesome!

First up we have Bioshock Infinite, possibly one of the the best games ever released on any platform ever! If you haven’t explored Columbia with Booker and Elizabeth then now is the time to do it!

Secondly we have 2013’s top-notch slasher DMC: Devil May Cry for those in the mood for some demonic swordplay. This was my personal pick for Best Asian Game 2013 and is a must have for any fan of the series!

And finally for you indie hipsters out there there’s Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Whilst I haven’t personally played this game (but I will on the first of January) reviews on metacritic seem to suggest it’s a great game!

PlayStation 4 is getting one game; better luck next time guys!

Early adopters are certainly getting boned this month; hope none of you exchanged your PS3 for a PS4 or you are going to feel downright cheated.

The is month PS4 owners will get a free copy of Don’t Starve the phenomenally addictive strategy game that sees the player trying to keep their character alive for as long as possible in woods filled with monsters and angry pigs! While Don’t Starve is damn a good game, it’s going to be difficult for PS4 owners not to envy their PS3-owning brethren.
