The VC firm also raised US$28 million for an entrepreneurs’ pool and another US$100 million for its Annex Fund I.

The three funds will focus on early-stage tech investments in Southeast Asia and aim to be aggressive in the Web3, climate tech, healthcare, and agriculture sectors.

With the new funds, Insignia Ventures Partners said it looks to capitalize on the investment “winter.”

“We see a once-in-a-decade opportunity to capture outlier returns, as the winners become obvious when the tide goes out. At the same time, winners cannot just be defined by valuations and scale but are ultimately companies with sustainable unit economics and concrete value creation,” said the firm’s founding managing partner Yinglan Tan.

Since being founded in 2017, Insignia Ventures Partners has raised US$120 million for its maiden fund and US$200 million for its second fund. Its portfolio includes Southeast Asian unicorns such as used-car platform Carro, investment app Ajaib, and ride-hailing and ecommerce giant GoTo Group.

In total, the VC firm has invested US$304.9 million in its startups, which collectively have more than US$46 billion in enterprise value. In a statement, Insignia Ventures Partners said it has a loss ratio of less than 2%.
