Philippines-based AHG Lab has raised US$4 million to develop the over 10 startups the venture builder is currently incubating. It also has more ventures in the pipeline as it extends its reach to other verticals and markets.

Venture capitalists, family offices, and existing angel investors from the Philippines, the US, and Europe participated in the new funding round.

Funding details

  • Funding amount: $4,000,000
  • Investors: The Rufino Family, David Leechiu, Seaborne Capital, Imagine If Partners
  • Stage: Pre-series A

Founded in 2020, AHG Lab was a pivot from the Alternative Housing Group, a real estate startup and proptech incubator in the Philippines. Its investees so far include B2B marketplace Shoppable Business, tech-enabled gym business GoGym, and car-sharing platform Doon.

The venture builder said it will continue to address challenges faced by Philippine startups such as access to capital and regulatory compliance.

โ€œAdditionally, the capital will expand our support in founder-focused programs like Founders Launchpad, our ongoing hands-on incubator and accelerator program,โ€ said Rene Cuartero, co-founder and CEO of AHG Lab, in a statement.

Before Cuartero, the venture builder was led by co-founder Bjorn Pardo, who also established logistics firm Xend. Pardo now serves as an advisor to AHG Lab.
