Tiger Global leads $15.8m round of SG payment gateway firm
HitPay, a Singapore-based fintech startup, has raised US$15.8 million in a series A funding round led by Tiger Global, with participation from Global Founders Capital and HOF Capital.

HitPay offers payment gateway solutions that enable SMEs to accept online and in-person payments. The service is currently available in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK, the US, and the United Arab Emirates. It plans to enter other Southeast Asian markets in the coming months.
In a statement, the company said that it has acquired more than 10,000 merchants since being founded in 2017. Last year, its transaction payment volume grew by 8x compared to 2020.
The fintech firm was founded by former bankers Aditya Haripurkar and Nitin Muthyala. Recently, HitPay was admitted to Y Combinator’s latest batch.
The startup plans to use the fresh funding for product development and hiring purposes.
