With a major payment institution license, the firm can provide digital asset services to corporates as well as traditional and crypto-native institutional investors.
MetaComp is the latest company to be awarded this license, following Atome last month.
Moving forward, MetaComp said it looks to drive token innovation within its ecosystem of products and services with its parent firm, MetaVerse Green Exchange – a recognized market operator and capital markets services license holder in Singapore.
MetaComp’s platform offers on- and 0ff-ramp services, fiat and stable coin payments, over-the-counter trading, and access to MAS-registered investment products.
Together with MetaVerse Green Exchange, the two entities offer exposure to tokens backed by real-world assets. This includes tokens backed by carbon credits in the form of the Carbon Neutrality Token.
Earlier this year, MetaVerse Green Exchange said that it was officially certified as a carbon-neutral business through the use of tokenized carbon credits.
