GoTo appoints ex-Ernst & Young exec as CFO ahead of its IPO plans
GoTo Group, the entity born from the Gojek and Tokopedia merger, has appointed Jacky Lo to serve as its chief financial officer, effective immediately.
Experience:
- Lo previously served in the same position for OneConnect Financial Technology, a technology-as-a-service platform for financial institutions and an affiliate of Ping An Insurance. He also led OneConnect’s New York Stock Exchange listing in 2019.
- The new exec was also the CFO, as well as treasurer, at Chinese restaurant major Yum China Holdings, where he led the firm’s US listing in 2016. Lo also worked for Ernst & Young for 15 years, including as a partner and deputy director in the Asia Pacific Capital Markets Center.
More details:
- At GoTo, Lo is set to lead the company’s finance functions and teams, which cover areas such as tax, treasury, financial planning, accounting, and procurement.
- The announcement comes after Tokopedia president Patrick Cao said that GoTo is planning to raise another round of funding ahead of an IPO later in 2021.
