India’s Vue.ai bags $17m in series B round
Retail automation platform Vue.ai raised US$17 million in a series B round led by Falcon Edge Capital. This brings the company’s total capital raised to US$27.5 million.
Sequoia Capital India and Japan’s Global Brain also particpated in the round.

Vue plans to use the fresh funds to expand its team and user base, as well as focus on its product roadmap. It counts retailers such as Zilingo, thredUP, and Tata as its clients, the company said in a statement.
Vue leverages computer vision and artificial intelligence to analyze catalog data alongside user behavior to provide retailers with insights on their merchandise’s quality. It employs neuroscientists and AI experts from companies such as IBM, Intel, and DARPA.
Launched in 2016, Vue is the first AI brand of its parent company Mad Street Den, a computer vision and AI firm. It was initially headquartered in Chennai, India, but is now based in California.
