Hi there,

There’s been a lot of anxiety building up around the jobs market ever since the recent AI boom. I’ve been feeling it too, with some of my closest friends getting laid off due to investments in the space.

However, they’ve since found new companies to continue growing their careers, and our friend group synchronously breathed sighs of relief. And if a jobs platform’s numbers are to go by, maybe there’s a chance this anxiety can fade away.

Singapore-based Glints registered a 10% growth in revenue in 2024. This comes off the back of increased hiring from Chinese businesses for posts in Southeast Asian countries. In fact, Glints found revenue from China more than doubling year on year.

Quarterly new job listings and active employers on the platform grew as well, helping further quell my unemployment anxiety.

For 2025, Glints expects this growth from China to continue. Whether or not that’s the case, we’ll let you know how the company fares then.
