Yet another company has announced its plans for Southeast Asian expansion this week. Gamevil’s latest office, Gamevil Southeast Asia, is based in Singapore. The Korean company wants to better serve its growing Southeast Aisan fan base. According to Gamevil USA President, Kyu Lee:
Southeast Asia is one of the fastest growing markets in the world in terms of smartphone penetration and has a solid history of gaming on multiple platforms. With the establishment of our Southeast Asian offices, we will keep providing local language and live support to gamers in the entire region.
Gamevil games have proven to be quite popular in Southeast Asia, with the mobile gaming giant soft launching several titles exclusively for Asian markets first. A couple of these are Mark of the Dragon and Titan Warrior. With the majority of Southeast Asian citizens more comfortable in their own native tongues, the localization Gamevil SEA will provide the brand’s games will definitely help them reach out to new players.
Managing Director of GAMEVIL Southeast Asia Joerg Tente has added that gamers in Southeast Asia can expect “some stunning things” to come their way.
Gamevil already has offices in Seoul, Beijing, and Tokyo, and the new Singapore headquarters is also expected to aid its future plans in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
