Games in Asia meetup Jakarta: getting your first million download
Games in Asia meetup will be coming to you in Jakarta next week (yes, next week) with a very interesting topic at hand. One that all indie gaming studios will be very interested to find out: “Getting your first million download.”
At our upcoming GIA Meetup Irwanto Widyatri, creator of Indonesian hit-game, Tebak Gambar will share with us how he did it. Built while he was still in school, Widyatri’s game marched on to garner over three million downloads. The puzzle-like game, released in December last year, hit the top spot on the Indonesian App Store and Google Play under the “Top Free games” category.
Widyatri will share this tricks and tips including marketing, monetization, scaling, and technical matters. If you are curious to hear from him, join us on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Speakers:
Irwanto Widyatri, creator of Tebak Gambar

A Binus University graduate, Irwanto Widyatri started working on the hit mobile game during his college years. Out of boredom and with too much time to spare, Widyatri created Tebak Gambar to learn new skills as well as adding a project to his portfolio.
Hendri Salim, Editor in Chief at Games in Asia Indonesia

Before entering the game industry, Hendri was a SAP consultant for three years where his last position was a divison manager at Anabatic Technologies. Tired of working in the corporate world, he then pursued his passion in the gaming industry and founded GameSaku (now Games in Asia), which was acquired by Tech in Asia in 2013.
