Zomato-backed logistics aggregator enters unicorn club
Shiprocket, an India-based logistics aggregator startup, has raised US$33 million at a valuation of US$1.2 billion, cementing its place in the unicorn club, Entrackr reported.
The round was led by Lightrock India and MacRitchie Investments, a subsidiary of Temasek.
Shiprocket was founded in 2017 by Saahil Goel, Gautam Kapoor, and Vishesh Khurana. It provides tech-based shipping and fulfillment services to small businesses, direct-to-consumer retailers, and social commerce sellers across categories such as apparel, footwear, and healthcare.
The startup said that it covers 29,000 postal codes to make 200,000 shipments daily.
In December 2021, Shiprocket raised US$185 million in a series E round led by Zomato, Temasek, and Lightrock India.
