Airbnb China CEO joins Bangladeshi travel startup’s $2.6m round

Go Zayaan, an online travel agency (OTA) startup in Bangladesh, has raised US$2.6 million in a seed round led by Wavemaker Partners,” reported e27, citing sources.

Details:

  • 1982 Ventures and Iterative also joined the round along with Kum Hong Siew, CEO of Airbnb China, and JJ Chai, former Airbnb Asia-Pacific managing director.
  • Go Zayaan’s will use the fresh funds for improving user experience, acquiring talent, and expanding its services.
