The China vs. Korea Masters: who are the best Hearthstone players in Asia?

NetEase really wants China to be good at Hearthstone. First, it was CEO Ding Lei dangling a Ferrari in front of players who can win against Europe. Now, it’s an unprecedented offline tournament held between 512 Chinese players, with the top eight being sent off to duke it out against Korea for fame, fortune, and massive e-peen points.

Organized by both OGN and NetEase, the CN vs KR Masters will be held from June 22 to July 27. The final eight Chinese players will take on the eight Korean players in a best-of-5 All-Kill format each week until only four total players remain. These four players will then fly to Korea (or maybe just take a taxi, you know, depending) to face off in a best-of-7 semifinals, and then finally the championship match.

There will also be some pretty interesting rules for this tournament:

-Players can prepare nine different decks, but must include at least three different classes.

-If a player wins, they must use the same deck for the next match

-If a player loses, they must use a deck with a different class for the next match
