The startup will use the funds to help grow its sales team, invest in its tech, and improve processes across the value chain.
“We aim to scale our marketplace platform to become one of the leaders in sourcing and booking luxury yet affordable yachts globally while tapping [into] Southeast Asian opportunities in particular,” Vadim Garr, founder and CEO of Boatcrowd told Tech in Asia in an emailed interaction.
Founded this year, Boatcrowd gives customers access to yacht rental deals worldwide, allowing them to choose from among crewed motor yachts, premium catamarans, and powerboats.
According to the startup, Thailand is on the path to becoming the third major yachting destination globally after the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
