Travel and hospitality VC firm Velocity Ventures also participated in the seed round alongside angel investors, including Farouk Kadous, founder of African fast-food chain Chickin Worx.
Launched in 2021 by ex-Google executives Jeroen Rutten and Mathieu Sneep, Tablevibe provides customer data services to food and beverage businesses, boosts their online reputations, and grows repeat sales. Tablevibe said it helps firms save 20% to 40% in fees paid to delivery apps.
With Tablevibe, F&B businesses can print QR codes on food packages and bill folders to request customer feedback and emails. Customers can then post their ratings directly on Google. In return, customers can get a discount on their next order, if placed directly with the restaurant.
“This investment will help us create a direct ordering and loyalty solution to drive sustained growth for restaurants. It will significantly decrease cost-of-sales for our partners and empower them to own their customer relationships,” said Jeroen Rutten, CEO of Tablevibe.
The company has so far partnered with restaurants like CloudEats, Les Amis Group, The Lo & Behold Group, Vascobelo, and Burger & Lobster.
Kimberly Yao, CEO of CloudEats, said adopting Tablevibe has brought her business 5.1x the feedback and emails from customers, while Betty Wong, COO at Les Amis, said that Tablevibe captured feedback and emails from over 1,500 of her restaurant chain’s customers in three weeks.
Tablevibe has also partnered with DoorDash, where restaurants will be able to accept orders via Tablevibe and get them delivered to customers via drivers of the US-headquartered food delivery firm from 2022 onwards.
